In a special evening pre-conference presentation, Children at Risk: A Mission of Bridge Building, held at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church June 7, Tammy Pawloski of Francis Marion University’s Center of Excellence to Prepare Teachers of Children of Poverty addresses ways to connect with the 43-million children in the U.S. currently living in poverty. Describing “human capital” as a factor that can “change the trajectory of these children, Pawloski also discusses the successful adoption of her own child of poverty.
