SUBJECT: Hurricane Claims and Procedures

Four major hurricanes in the fall of 2004 brought unexpected and unprecedented disaster to Florida. Our churches have been profoundly affected, and our efforts to recover from the damage have confronted us with unexpected, unprecedented, and wholly new challenges.

Many of you have waited an extremely long time to receive the financial assistance you need and deserve. Frankly, this is unacceptable, and we are deeply sorry for the problems you have encountered in this process. We are working hard to set things right.
