A great use for extra apples, these burgers are extra moist and flavorful!
Apple Cheddar Burgers
3/4 lb ground beef
1/3 cup finely chopped red onion
2 oz sharp cheddar, cut into 1/4 inch cubes
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
1/2 tsp fine sea salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/2 cup shredded peeled apple (have used Fuji, Red Delicious and Granny Smith and all were great!)
Combine beef, onion, cheddar, mustard, salt, pepper and apple in large bowl. Form four 4-inch patties. Saute in skillet on stove over medium heat, flipping once, until done (about 6-8 minutes).
