Split Pea Soup with Ham


A hearty meal for the gang! Vegetarians can omit the ham and still enjoy a high fiber, warming meal.


Split Pea Soup with Ham
Serves approx. 8

Ingredients:
1 cup chopped celery
1/2 cup chopped green peppers
1 lb split green peas
1 1/2 cups cooked diced ham
1 pkg dry vegetable soup mix
2 medium minced onions

Directions:
Combine 10 cups water, peas, ham, soup mix and vegetables in large kettle. Simmer for 4 hours, stirring occasionally. Add water if becomes too thick.
