This is a recipe my mother would have given me because she knew I had very little patience with too many ingredients.
Tropical Dump Cake
Total Time: 1 hour
1/2 cup butter or margarine, cut up
2 29 oz cans sliced peaches in heavy syrup, undrained
1 8 oz. can of sliced peaches in heavy syrup, undrained
1 18.25 oz package yellow cake mix
1/2 cup of butter or margarine, cut up
2 cups pecans, toasted (toasting is optional)
Ice cream or whipped cream
Spread all cans of peaches in a lightly greased 13x9 inch pan, sprinkle cake mix evenly over fruit. Dot with butter, then sprinkle with pecans. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes or until golden and bubbly. Serve with ice cream or whipped cream.
