Christmas Village House

I have had a lot of fun through the years making this house. It is especially fun with children.

Christmas Village House

Sugar Wafer Cookies
Graham Crackers
Variety of candies for decorating

Royal Frosting: (”mortar” for building)

Beat 3 egg whites with 1/2 tsp cream of tartar until frothy. Gradually beat in one box of 10X confectioner’s sugar until frosting forms stiff peaks and will hold a sharp line when a knife is drawn through. Keep bowl covered with a damp cloth to keep frosting from drying. Makes 2-1/2 cups.

Use sugar wafers to build walls (5” long and 3” wide), using frosting as mortar. Roof is made by cutting one graham cracker in half (making a square)...then cutting the square on a diagonal (making a triangle). Place a triangle at each narrow end of the wall structure (like a truss supports a roof). Use 2 whole graham crackers, one to form each side of the roof. Allow house and frosting to set a few minutes, then decorate with candies. Very festive.
