Preachers Relief Board

The Preachers Relief Board is an agency of the Florida Conference that was first established in the 19th century to assist “tired and worn out preachers” with retirement housing at the conclusion of their careers.  Through the many years the needs have changed and so has the direction of the Preachers Relief Board (PRB).

The PRB is still primarily focused on the needs of retired clergy.  The PRB owns several houses throughout the conference that are occupied by retired clergy who served most of their ministry on minimum salary.  But the PRB also provides direct financial assistance for active and retired clergy who have significant financial demands that cannot be met through their personal resources.
