The church and homosexuality [July 12, 2006 {0516}; An e-Review Florida UMNS Commentary by Bishop Timothy W. Whitaker]

I'm referring to the NIV Women's Devotional Bible, 2 Timothy Chapter 3:1-8. Did God appoint anyone of us to be Supreme Judge? Do any of us have a special right to persecute another human being? Don't we all have to die at some time? You want to live, don't you? Why can't we let each other live in God's World? This world is not our home, we're just passing through. What makes any of you any better than me, and what makes me any better than you? I say we need to stop trying to control each other's lives, but learn that AGAPE (LOVE) which will allow us to see each other as all of God's Creation or Creatures in spite of everything else. Nobody is perfect. We all fall short one way or another. We all need the GRACE that comes to us by FAITH in JESUS our SAVIOR. Jesus Paid it ALL for me, just like He paid it all for you! By the way, I am one or those so called "straight" people too! Let us Look UP, Love each other and Let each other Live for God's purpose and not our own! May God Bless You with AGAPE WISDOM is my prayer.
