Ted Schiller

The Rev. Ted Schiller, a lay pastor in the Florida Conference, died Sept. 14, 2004.

He served the East Point-St. George Island United Methodist Church circuit in the Tallahassee District from 1998 until 2000.


J. Daniel Pelay

The Rev. J. Daniel Pelay, a retired Florida Conference elder, died April 14, 2005, after serving the United Methodist Church for 36 years.

He became a deacon in 1963 and an elder in full connection in 1965. He retired in 2000.

He served North Hialeah Hispanic United Methodist Church, Hialeah, and Coral Way United Methodist Church, Miami.


W. Scott Bozeman

The Rev. W. Scott Bozeman, a retired Florida Conference elder, died April 15, 2005, after serving the United Methodist Church for 42 years.

He became a deacon and member in full connection in 1945 and an elder in 1946. He retired in 1985.

He served as superintendent of the West Palm Beach District in 1964, superintendent of the St. Petersburg District in 1974, director of the Florida Conference Council on Ministries in 1980 and superintendent of the Leesburg District in 1983.

He served Haines City United Methodist Church, Haines City; Grace United Methodist Church, Miami; First United Methodist Church, Tampa; and First United Methodist Church, Clearwater.


Bascom W. Carlton

The. Rev. Bascom W. Carlton, a retired Florida Conference elder, died May 13, 2005, after serving the United Methodist Church for 42 years.

He became a deacon in 1942 and an elder in full connection in 1944. He retired in 1984.

He served as executive director of the Florida United Methodist Children's Home for more than 30 years.

He served churches in Interbay-Port Tampa, Safety Harbor and Seminole and at Tampa Heights United Methodist Church, Tampa.


David T. Brewer

The Rev. David T. Brewer, a retired Florida Conference elder, died May 17, 2005, after serving the United Methodist Church for 39 years.
 
He became a deacon in 1959 and an elder in full connection in 1962. He retired in 1998.
 
He served as superintendent of the Miami District in 1991 and director of the Florida Conference Council on Ministries in 1994.
 
He served Highlands United Methodist Church, Jacksonville; Palm Bay United Methodist Church, Palm Bay; Wagg Memorial United Methodist Church, West Palm Beach; Merrell United Methodist Church, Fort Lauderdale; First United Methodist Church, Melbourne; and First United Methodist Church, Ocala.
