Justice Outreach

Justice in Hebrew is "mishpat" meaning giving people what they are due, whether punishment or protection or care.  This is usually serving intermediate and long-term needs like addictions, legal matters, abuse, immigration, English as a second language, vocational  training and assistance, children education and mentoring, transitional and permanent housing, etc.

Below are partners who serve in the following areas:

The Poor, families, single parents with children, unemployed/underemployed, abused, addicted, legal issues, job discrimination, racial discrimination, etc.

Celebrate Recovery - Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered and Bible-based 12 Step Recovery Program.

Christian Legal Society - Christian Legal Society (CLS) is a nationwide fellowship of Christians committed to acting justly, loving mercy, and walking humbly with their God (Micah 6:8).

Clara White Mission - The Clara White Mission works in partnership with the community to prevent and reduce homelessness through advocacy, housing, job training, and employment.

City Rescue Mission - CRM exists to transform the lives of the homeless and needy, serving them through the love and compassion of Jesus Christ.

Developmental Learning Center - DLC Nurse & Learn is an inclusion child care center for children of all abilities.

Family Promise - Family Promise of Jacksonville is a non-profit, interfaith hospitality network providing temporary assistance, hospitality and case management for families with children experiencing homelessness.

First Coast AIDS Walk - The First Coast AIDS Walk helps to bring diverse communities together to raise awareness about HIV and AIDS here in Northeast Florida.

First Coast Women's Services - First Coast Women’s Services is a pregnancy care center that operates under the guidelines of Care Net International which provides compassionate hope and help to women and men who are facing fear and indecision in a time of real crisis.

Habijax - HabiJax continues the mission of building and renovating high quality affordable housing through the inspiration and collaboration of many forward-thinking, concerned citizens.

Hubbard House - Hubbard House provides services to meet the needs of women, children, and men who have been affected by domestic violence, intervention for children who have lived with violence, and programs that work with abusers on changing the attitudes and beliefs that sanction violence.

Interfaith Coalition for Action, Reconciliation and Empowerment - ICARE's mission is to powerfully address citywide concerns related to issues of justice and fairness.

Justice Coalition - The Justice Coalition advocates for innocent victims of violent crime, educate victims about their rights in the justice system and work with law enforcement to make communities safer.

Ronald McDonald House - Since 1988 Ronald McDonald House Charities of Jacksonville has provided a “home away from home” for over 33,000 families who utilize Jacksonville’s hospitals and medical facilities for treatment of trauma, premature births, cancer, cardiac conditions and other specialty pediatric diagnoses. Our vision has always been to provide a home community where children and their families embrace life and healing with a sense of hope, enthusiasm, courage and joy.

Salvation Army - The Salvation Army is an international movement, an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Our mission is to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.

S.A.Y. Yes Centers - S.A.Y. Yes!™ is a biblically-based program that takes place in an after-school setting.The goal is to give at-risk children a solid foundation from which they can build a successful future. Through the local church, each child is ministered to spiritually, emotionally, physically, intellectually, and socially (Luke 10:27).

Sulzbacher Center - The Sulzbacher Center is Northeast Florida’s largest provider of comprehensive services for homeless men, women and children. They are one of only a few centers in the nation to offer a full range of services for the homeless 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Trinity Rescue Mission - Trinity Rescue Mission was established in 1962 by the congregation of Trinity Baptist Church and church leaders as an expression of their burden for the homeless and hurting people on the streets in Jacksonville.

Refugees, Immigrants and Human Trafficking Victims 

Catholic Charities - Catholic Charities provides services to anyone in need, regardless of race or religion; to advocate justice, human dignity and quality of life; and to call all people to join in these efforts; thereby reflecting the compassion of God in Christ.

Lutheran Social Services - Lutheran Social Services is motivated and guided by the compassion of Christ - they serve and care for people in need.

S.A.Y. Yes Centers - S.A.Y. World Relief - World Relief's mission is to empower the local Church to serve the most vulnerable.

Prisoners/Ex-Offenders

Prisoners for Christ - Prisoners of Christ has devoted its energy to providing services for ex-offenders to enable them to leave their past behind.  Among other things, our services include housing, clothing, life skills training, substance abuse counseling, job searches and most recently, a comfortable, judgment-free place to worship.
