The Book of Discipline, 2012 charges the Commission on Equitable Compensation to "support full-time clergy serving as pastors in the charges of the annual conference by:
(a) recommending conference standards for pastoral support;
(b) administering funds to be used in base compensation supplementation; and
(c) providing counsel and advisory material on pastoral support to district superintendents and committees on pastor-parish relations."
The Commission on Equitable Compensation exists to assist churches who are in need of financial support on a short term basis. It is the goal of Equitable Compensation to see transformation come through the implementation of new vision by making disciples for Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.
