College Park United Methodist Church is looking for someone to fill the position of Front Office Administrator. This position requires someone who has lots of energy and initiative and is flexible and able to work well with people. Job Description:

The front office administrator is the primary contact for church members and the community in getting in touch with our church. In this position, it would be expected that you would:
  • Oversee management of official records and files including meeting meetings, tax documents. records, etc
  • Oversee payment of bills, reimbursements and distributions of checks
  • Answer phones and emails promptly
  • Organize schedules of staff, programs and events
  • Manage facility rentals including creating and distributing contracts, invoicing, and other usage details
  • Organize and file office paperwork
  • Schedule childcare as needed
  • Record church data internally on a weekly basis and on a monthly basis with church conference
  • Order office/janitorial supplies
  • Assist with event setup and cleanup
  • Create materials for new members, baptisms, confirmations, etc
  • Produce the weekly bulletin
  • Update and send the weekly newsletter
  • Maintain website and social networking
  • Support directors and coordinators including Outreach, Family Ministry, Accounting, Worship, and other committees and groups
  • Work closely with the Pastor to attend to, organize and support her

Hours, rate, benefits:
Monday - Friday: 8:30am - 1:30pm
(for special events and services, some after hours work is required)
$19,500 salary (25 hours a week at $15/hr)
Employee discount for our CDC school (age 6 weeks-Pre-K)

Skills Required:
  • Must have at least two years experience of executive level management
  • Microsoft Office including Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Publisher
  • Strong people skills
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to problem-solving independently
  • Flexible and able to handle multiple tasks
  • Able to work with minimal oversight
  • Love for Jesus and the Church

Skills Preferred:
  • Adobe Creative Suite
  • Mailchimp or other newsletter platform
  • Social Networking experience
  • Website management experience
  • Experience working within the church

  • GED or high school diploma
  • Associates Degree preferred
