February 2004
WHO: Florida United Methodist Annual Conference Participants Greetings! This letter is being sent to all clergy and lay delegates, participants and guests to the 2004 Florida United Methodist Annual Conference Event, which is being held on the campus of Bethune-Cookman College in Daytona Beach this year. Conference convenes 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 3. Projected adjournment is 1:00 p.m., Sunday, June 6. Registration for the annual conference event and for campus housing opens at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 2, on the campus of Bethune-Cookman College. We wanted to be sure to get the housing information out to you early so you can make the arrangements that best fit your needs and so you can take advantage of the special rates offered to us by many of the Daytona Beach area hotels and motels. For those delegates and guests who prefer to stay on the campus of Bethune-Cookman College, please note that there is a deadline of Monday, March 15, 2004, to make your reservation. The hotels listed are offering special conference room rates for our delegates and guests. Each hotel has set aside a specified number of rooms at these special rates. Reservations will be taken up to May 1, 2004 or until the room block is filled, whichever occurs first. After May 1, 2004, the block rate may not be available, so please book your accommodations early to avoid the higher rate.
There are a limited number of complimentary rooms reserved for retired pastors (of the Florida Conference) and for probationary members being commissioned at the 2004 annual conference who wish to stay on the campus of Bethune-Cookman College. The complimentary rooms will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. See the enclosed letter from Bethune-Cookman College for more details.
